Objectives and Accreditation
The Nineteenth International Pelvic Reconstructive and Vaginal Surgery Conference once again brings together a most distinguished faculty recognized as authorities in pelvic reconstructive surgery. The three day intensive course is designed for the practicing gynecologist and others interested in pelvic reconstructive surgery. This conference is structured to provide ample opportunity for participants to interact on a one-to-one basis with the faculty.
After attending this educational activity, participants should be able to:
• Determine the proper route of a hysterectomy.
• Effectively integrate vaginal hysterectomy into their clinical practice.
• Use current techniques to manage pelvic floor disorders.
• Identify anatomical derangements of pelvic support defects and the correct surgery needed for successful outcomes.
• Integrate current and relevant surgical techniques to detect and manage urinary and anal incontinence.
• Properly manage the patient with vaginal prolapse.
• Correctly evaluate and treat surgical infections.
ACCME Accreditation
This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and Policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education through the joint sponsorship of the American College of Surgeons and the American College of Phlebology. The American College Surgeons is accredited by the ACCME to provide continuing medical education for physicians.
AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™
The American College of Surgeons designates this educational activity for a maximum of 24 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits™. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.
The following is a daily breakdown of credits awarded each day of the program: Cadaver Program: 8 credits; Scientific Program: 16 credits.
