William D. Putman, MD

Dr. Putman graduated With Honors from Creighton University School of Medicine in Omaha, Nebraska in 1984. He was also inducted into the Alpha Omega Alpha Honor Society while there. He completed his residency in Obstetrics and Gynecology at Southern Illinois University School of Medicine in 1989 where he was twice elected the J.W. Roddick MD Resident of the Year. He remains on the clinical faculty at SIU School of Medicine where he has received The Clinical Faculty of the Year Award three times and the APGO Excellence in Teaching Award. In 2005 he was selected for inclusion in The Best Doctors in America Listing. Dr. Putman provides comprehensive evaluation and treatment of disorders related to pelvic relaxation including prolapse of the uterus, bladder and rectum and urinary stress incontinence. He has expertise in the full range of vaginal procedures along with Laparoscopic procedures if necessary to treat these conditions.
