The Eighteenth International Pelvic Reconstructive and Vaginal Surgery Conference

Conference Objectives:

The Eighteenth International Pelvic Reconstructive and Vaginal Surgery Conference once again brings together a most distinguished faculty recognized as authorites in pelvic reconstructive surgery. The two and a half day intensive course is designed for the practicing gynecologist and others interested in pelvic reconstructive and vaginal surgery. This conference is noted for the camaraderie between the faculty and the conference attendees. The conference is structured to provide ample opportunity for participants to interact on a one-to-one basis with the faculty.

 

After attending this educational activity, participants should be able to:

-Identify the anatomical derangements of pelvic support defects

-Incorporate surgical updates in patients with rectal prolapse, urinary and anal incontinence.

-Gain increased knowledge and appreciation how to treat surgical infections

-Incorporate current guidelines for selecting the route and method of hystererctomy

-Better manage pelvic floor disorders with new surgical techniques in pelvic reconstruction

-Effectively integrate vaginal hysterectomy into clinical practice

Learn about new gynecologic instrumentation, mesh materials, and surgical techniques


ACCME Accreditation

This activity has been planned and implemented in accordance with the Essential Areas and policies of the Accreditation Council for Continuing Medical Education (ACCME) through the joint sponsorship of The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) and the Society of Pelvic Reconstructive Surgeons.

 

AMA PRA Category 1 Credit(s) or ACOG Cognate Credit(s)

 

The American College of Obstetricians and Gynecologists (ACOG) designates this educational activity for a maximum of 25 AMA PRA Category 1 Credits or up to a maximum of 25 Category 1 ACOG Cognate Credits. Physicians should only claim credit commensurate with the extent of their participation in the activity.

 

The following is a daily breakdown of credits awarded each day of the program: Thursday, August 20=8 credits; Friday 21=7 credits; Saturday 22=7 credits; Sunday 23=3 credits.
