The Society of Pelvic Reconstructive Surgeons is a professional organization of physicians in both private and academic practices who are dedicated to the development and practice of pelvic reconstructive surgery in women. The purpose of the SPRS is the acquisition and dissemination of knowledge in pelvic reconstructive surgery as it relates to the improvement of patient care through research and education. Founded in 1996, the SPRS has gained recognition as one of the premier pelvic surgery societies and has provided continuing education to over 6000 gynecologists, urologists, and colorectal surgeons worldwide.
Mission
The Society of Pelvic Reconstructive Surgeons seeks to promote the highest standards of care in pelvic reconstructive and vaginal surgery. The SPRS endorses only those procedures that evidence-based data have documented to be the most medically and economically effective and delivered in the most compassionate and ethical manner.
